Blair Rising was founded after the Eaton fires that affected many families in Pasadena. The two founders, Heather Moreno, and Susan Rangel, are parents of students who attend both Blair High School and Blair Middle School. They have been working together on school-related projects for 11 years leading up to this point. They were a part of the annual fund and PTSA at San Rafael Elementary for 6 years and now, have been a part of the Blairs Annual fund for 3 years.
Susan has had students attending Blair since 2019. Now she has an 11th grader attend.
Heather has had students attending Blair since 2020 and now has a 6th grader and a 10th grader attending.
Our goal is to support the families that need it. We offer a variety of different supplies that are free. We also help with finding furniture for those who request it. You can request supplies or furniture on the request page. You do not have to be affected by the fires to ask for supplies.
Grayson Moreno is the creator of the website. He created the website for his tenth-grade personal project. He is a 10th grader at Blair High School. He has attended the school since 6th grade and is planning to attain the IB diploma the school offers. The personal project is a demonstration of skills attained in the middle years program. He participates in sports such as cross country, soccer, track, and student-run Los Angeles.
